A solution for tracking your fleet in remote and offshore locations.
Horizon software turns your internet-enable vessel into a mobile AIS receiver.
With Horizon you can:
Track your fleet in remote and offshore locations
Determine AIS report frequency and manage bandwidth
Automatically maintain 30-day log of all AIS transmissions near vessel to query in case of incident
ShipTracks Horizon is a software solution we developed in response to customer requests for high resolution tracking in remote areas. The Horizon provides a low-cost solution for offshore and remote inland vessel tracking.
How does it work? ShipTracks Horizon software turns your internet-enabled vessel into a mobile AIS receiver, recording AIS data from all vessels within range of an onboard receiver. The data is automatically forwarded to the ShipTracks network so you can view your asset and surrounding vessels on the ShipTracks display. You control the frequency of data uploads in order to save bandwidth. All reports collected by the Horizon are stored for 30 days, giving you control of data in the event of an incident.
With ShipTracks Horizon, you can keep a close watch on your operations, anywhere they are.
At ShipTracks, we’re focused on offering the maritime transportation industry improved decision making capabilities based on real-time vessel position information. Prior to AIS, we have an established 12-year history of providing environmental modeling and maritime surveillance to energy corporations, universities, state and federal agencies. The advent of AIS in the U.S. market in 2004 created the opportunity to apply company data management strengths to an emerging technology. The potential to utilize AIS for vessel tracking and management solutions in the commercial maritime community led to the creation of ShipTracks, LLC as a company in 2008.
